Happy Father’s Day! We slept in again today. vacationing is so exhausting. The heat certainly doesn’t help.

On the agenda for today – wander the city, get to the plaza San Miguel food hall, rest and flamenco show tonight.

A few pics of the apartment. We love this place, light and airy. Nice area and plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. Definitely would stay here again. Bedrooms and bathrooms great as well.

As we walked to the plaza, lovely buildings. We saw a lot of graffiti. While it is everywhere, I have to say it’s not offensive. It actually feels more like art. That could just be vacation me talking🤷‍♀️

We are now in the theatre district. I tried to convince Caleb to see el Rey de Leon (The Lion King) but he is unconvinced. I don’t think language would be a problem.

Found our way to plaza San Miguel and we’re not disappointed in the selection of food and drink – so much from which to choose. I had to stop taking pictures.

We had pizza, sausage dogs, cheese, limoncello spritz, cava, gelato, coffee and a lemon merengue to go. We will probably get back there tomorrow after El Prado. Crossing my fingers.

The flamenco show was in a very small venue, which made it quite loud. They wisely asked for no filming until the end where they did a quick dance we could film. A little flamenco goes a long way. It was fun to watch and I’m glad we went. Caleb seemed to enjoy it .

And once again, a lovely day in Madrid. We had a pleasant walk home and finished off pasta caleb made last night, and had our lovely merengue from the market.

And I must get some sleep.
