Left Portomarin at 8:50. Arrived Palas de Reis at 5:45. 14 miles according to our itinerary. My phone and watch stopped recording at 11.05 miles when we were still a couple hours from hotel. So, 14 it is. I’ll try and work out why the phone stopped recording so it doesn’t happen again. Technology still not my friend.
We started the day with a spring in our step and hope on our hearts. By 11, we were dragging. Day two is never kind.

Kids will be kids and we’ve seen plenty. They travel in packs and speak incessantly and loudly. Oh to be young again!
Our first stop wasn’t until lunch. Thereafter, multiple stops to hydrate. It was plenty hot today.

Funny conversation. I said to Caleb, “we’ve seen several couples with dogs. Isn’t it interesting that the women are the ones carrying or walking the dogs”. His response, “well, here’s how that happened. Her: let’s take the dog on the Camino. Him: No. Her: oh, come on, he’s like our baby. Him: no. Her: really? Him: ok, only if you carry him or walk him.
I’m thinking Caleb could be right.
As the day progressed, we were desperate to get to the hotel and have a nap.

Not much conversation to other pilgrims today. Not because we didn’t see lots of people, but more because I believe we were all tired and too hot to make conversation.
We ate quite late tonight. Found a pizza place across the street. Owner is a one legged discus champion. Said he’s going to Los Angeles for the paralympics. Also said he’s a world champion.
Pizza was great.
Tomorrow is a long day so we’re hoping to leave earlier than previous two days. We’ll see.
Good night🥾🥾

hi u two. All good here. No goats, but 5 sheep 🐑 and 3 horses are in our field, now called Poppy Pasture. This is the shortest walk, with most people. And bc u did all Sanrio ed walks do u get a special scroll at end to prove it?
