Yahoo, probably only 13.5 miles today )if we don’t get lost).
Left 9:12, arrived hotel at 4 pm. 13.5 miles.

The tractors on this road are dangerous. We’ve had to go into roadside bushes to not get hit. They’re huge!
Musings of a 70 year old woman – the countryside is beautiful. Wouldn’t it be grand viewing from an air conditioned vehicle instead of walking? So peaceful.
Musings of a 14 year old boy – countryside is beautiful. The girls are really pretty here. I should move to Spain.
He also agreed with me re air conditioned vehicle.
Doors in the little villages. Yes, I have a thing for doors. Always wonder what’s behind them. Easy to make up stories in your head when you’re wandering like we are. I believe there are lovely people living there, except maybe the last one which probably houses a troll.

New vines being planted and the ever present wild flowers. So cheery, can’t help but smile. I tried a new feature – gallery mode. I think you have to tap the next two photos to see full picture.

My new favorite drink. It’s slightly orange flavored and non fizzy. So refreshing

Lunch at a golf course

Not many people on the course but nicely maintained. We are in Ciruena – about 5 miles from our stop tonight.
The cut out of the pilgrim is popular. Lots of metal pieces like this through the countryside

Not sure what this is but looked interesting. Just don’t fall in.

Oh my goodness, we arrived at the hotel at 4 pm (early for us) only to find about 75-100 kids, chaperones, priests and a nun checking in. The reception clerk was very single minded. While he acknowledged he had our rooms, he continued checking in the large group and photocopying each of their IDs. We had a soda in the waiting area til he was done, which was a half hour wait. Welcome to Spain where no one is in a hurry😁
I now get the priest, nun group. Here’s my room. FYI – no hair dryer. Figures.

Yes. This is some sort of religious hosteleria. We were served dinner by nuns. Extremely hospitable. Food was very good. Wine plentiful and tasty. While there was an entire bottle at our table, I had a couple small glasses.

We were moved to a separate dining room without the student group. Here’s what we missed. Some of them have already left dinner, so you can imagine what a large group they are.

And they are noisy. I can still hear them in my room and it’s 10:30. Not surprising. I’m sure it’s all in good fun.
