    June 21st, 2025

    Miles walked 4.46.

A late morning as we are still recuperating. That’s what I’m going with, yes.

It’s already in the 90s. I’ve been out for a solo adventure after my breakfast. I got some lovely linens and was about to turn back when I heard music. I stumbled upon a local Saturday market. I love this.

    People line up for pastries
    Peonies!

So many people out shopping. But, back to the apartment to collect Caleb.

    Plenty of bikes
    Saturday out with dad
    Our entrance door.

I decided we should visit a museum I’ve not been to before. It’s sculpture, not paintings. I hoped it would appeal to Caleb, and I was right.

The blending of statues and trees and shrubs made this place really special. Musee Bourdelle- a great find.

It was just enough to fill the afternoon and then back for a brief rest and get ready for our big dinner at Le Tren Bleu in the Gare de Lyon, just one stop on the metro from our apartment.

We are rockin the Euro look.

Starters for both – crispy crab. I had the leg of lamb with lovely

potatoes. Caleb had a sea bass casserole with potato gnocchi. We had no dessert, mostly due to the heat. The dining experience was marred by the lack of A/C!! Truly disappointing.

    Amuse-bouche wax a lovely tomato/cucumber cold soup
    Crispy crab
    The ceiling

You know how you should never hype up a place so much that when you get there, it just doesn’t meet expectations? Well, it happened to us. I had read so much about this place, so we were beyond excited. We got dressed up and could not wait.

Don’t get me wrong- the food was very good. But we made the effort to dress nicely and we were surrounded by similar people who did the same, but also people in shorts and tee shirts… kind of a bummer.

As it happens, it did not spoil our evening. You can’t control the weather! We got back to our apartment and were treated to a live band as we exited the metro

And so our evening ended on a positive note with live music. What’s not to love about Paris?

    Good night.
